Family Promise: Nov. 4 - 11  At Wyo COB

Working together, utilizing a proven and effective model, Family Promise of Berks has made a dramatic impact on the lives of hundreds of families and children experiencing homelessness within Berks County.

In 2017:
• 143 individuals enrolled in our programs
• 11,000+ meals were served
• 3,722+ bed nights were provided
• 14,248+ hours of volunteer service were facilitated
• 85% of the families in the Hospitality Network successfully transitioned into permanent housing
• 88% of the homeless youth served through U-Turn resolved housing insecurity
• 100% of the individuals served with Rent & Utility Assistance entered positive permanent housing destinations

This program has a 98% success rate of getting homeless families off the streets, back to work and in their own home in three months!

Churches play a big part, hosting the families for a week, providing a safe place to sleep, dinner and breakfast.

Ways you can help:

     Volunteer to make a dinner

     Be an evening host (6:30-8:30)

Spend the night (Bed provided, private room) and help supervise breakfast (You'll be out around 7:15)

Buy groceries: Breakfast foods, juices, items to make lunch.

Offer to be there on Sunday to load or unload the truck.
